In order to do telemedicine, you must prepay your co-pay, and or deductible and make sure the office has your consent for your tele-med appointment. You will be contacted for your payment, if you have not be contacted please call the office to avoid a cancellation of your appointment.
You must have a smart phone, iPad, tablet, or webcam, and a microphone. Internet access may be needed with with certain devices.
What service do you use?
Doxy.Me is the service used by AFHP. No download is required. We do not utilize Zoom at the present time.
Can I use FaceTime?
Yes, if you have an apple product that allows you to Facetime. Please notify when scheduling your Facetime preference. You will need to provide the correct contact for Facetime.
What if I don't have a smart phone, tablet, or access to internet services?
We can schedule you for a Tele-Med appointment from our parking lot. Please notify the scheduler that you will need to schedule for a "Drive-Thru Tele-med". This type of appointment is conducted from the office parking lot. A staff member will bring you an iPad to your car to conduct your visit.
I haven't received my link, do I still have an appointment?
Yes. Providers are still seeing patients in office, at times they can run behind schedule. Always be prepared to receive your link 30 minutes before or up to 45 minutes after your appointment.
Effective March 1, 2022, patient's with no insurance, self-pay patients will see an increase in cost for services rendered.
Effective April 1, 2022. The office will no longer be accepting new patients who are insured by a commercial plan. Our practice will remain open for NEW MEDICARE ADVANTAGE patients.
